How to Submit a Custom 3D Print Order: A Step-by-Step Guide

Ordering a custom 3D printed part or product doesn't have to be complicated. Whether you have a detailed CAD file or just a rough idea sketched on a napkin, we can work with you to bring it to life. Here's exactly how to submit a custom order with Osborn Creations 3D.

What We Need From You

The more detail you can provide, the faster we can get you a quote. Here's what's helpful:

  • Description: What is it? What does it do? What problem does it solve?
  • Dimensions: Approximate size in inches or millimeters
  • Quantity: How many do you need?
  • Material preference: Any requirements for heat resistance, flexibility, color, or food safety?
  • File: STL, STEP, or any CAD format if you have one. Sketches or reference photos also work.
  • Timeline: When do you need it?

What If I Don't Have a File?

No problem. We offer design services for customers who have an idea but no CAD file. Share your concept — a description, a sketch, a photo of something similar — and we'll design it for you. Design fees vary based on complexity.

The Quote Process

Once we have your project details, we'll provide a written quote within one business day. The quote includes material cost, print time, design fees (if applicable), and shipping. There's no obligation to proceed.

Approval & Production

After you approve the quote, we'll print a prototype for your review before running the full order. Once you sign off on the prototype, we run production and ship directly to you.
